York Triathlon Club

Our Challenge

A new triathlon club starting up in York wanted to raise profile and reach target membership base within the community of 100+ in the first season.

Our Solution

Create and develop a launch campaign to the local York community, develop a package of member benefits working with local sponsors to attract novice and experienced triathletes, establish club network to help drive ongoing membership retention.

Our Methods

• Brand development – logo and identity
• Merchandising – race & training kit, swim hats, t-shirts, hoodies
• Website development – informational portal
• Event management – season kick off event and cycling time trials
• Communications – press, newsletters, social media, members survey
• Sponsorship – local retailers and businesses
• Partnerships – University, running clubs, race organisers
• Marketing materials – leaflet, car sticker

The Outcome

Club achieved membership of 160+ in first year, 20+ press articles, signed up major retail partner as lead sponsor, club community network in place, ongoing positive feedback received from novice and experienced triathlete members, partners and sponsors.
